13 Aug Weekend Sessions? Here’s How My Booking Works!
One of the most common question I get is:
“Do you shoot on weekends?”
The answer is yes, I do!
Weekends are often the most convenient time for families to come together for a photo session – no school, no work, and (hopefully) a little less stress and chaos! Because of that, weekend spots are in high demand and tend to book up quickly.
Here’s a little more ensign into how weekend bookings work with me:
Do I shoot every weekend?
Not quite. While I reserve some weekends each month for sessions, I also carve out time for family, rest, editing and other projects. That means I am usually available for some Saturdays or sometimes Sundays, and those dates get scooped up fast – especially during peak seasons (spring and autumn! I am looking at you!)
How does booking work?
If you are hoping for a weekend slot, I recommend reaching out as early as possible. I typically open my calendar 2-3 months in advance (for some photo shoots pre-reservations could be placed 6 months ahead). Once my weekends spots are gone, they are gone and I do keep a waitlist in case anything opens up.
Bonus tip: If you have flexibility for a weekday session (especially in the morning or later afternoon), those are often easier to book and just as beautiful!
